Donna Annas | Upper School Art Aide

Donna Annas is joining Trinity in 2025 as the Upper School Art Aide. With a background in teaching and homeschooling, she is excited about this new adventure. Mrs. Annas graduated from Asbury College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and did graduate work at Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. Mrs. Annas and her husband Victor live in Lexington and have three grown daughters and one spoiled dog. She attends Church of the Savior. In her free time she enjoys gardening, camping, reading, and cooking.

Amy Culverhouse | PreK

Amy began teaching in the 3-year-old classroom at Trinity in the fall of 2025. She previously operated a nature-based preschool and was the director of a church-based child care center. She also has experience as a home visitor and parent educator.

Amy is originally from Michigan where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and was working towards her BA as well. 

Amy is married with five children, four have graduated and the youngest is attending Trinity’s Upper School. The family are members at Science Hill Church of the Nazarene where Amy serves with the youth and children. Amy loves playing with her three young grandsons and baking specialty cakes.

Stacey Estes | 3rd Grade

Stacey Estes joined Trinity in 2025 as a third grade teacher. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Louisville. She comes to Trinity with teaching experience in both public and private schools at the elementary level. 

Stacey and her husband Eric have two boys, Jacob and Camden, who attend Trinity, and they are members of Southland Christian Church. Outside of teaching, Stacey enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, kayaking, hiking, and playing tennis.

Jacob Gross | Upper School PE / Assistant Athletic Director

Jacob Gross is starting his first year at Trinity middle school and high school as a physical education teacher. Before this, Mr. Gross was teaching elementary physical education in Miami, Florida, while his wife was finishing her law degree at the University of Miami. Mr. Gross received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Kentucky. He also received his teaching certification in Health and Physical education K-12 at the University of Kentucky.

Mr. Gross and his wife Cassie have just recently moved back to Kentucky after spending two years in Miami. His hobbies include gardening, piano, and sports (especially pickleball and volleyball.)

Crystal Guarnieri | Athletic Director

Crystal Guarnieri will join the Trinity staff as Athletic Director for the 2025-26 school year. Crystal graduated from Butler University in 2007 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She has worked as a pharmacist at Saint Joseph Hospital for the past 13 years.  
 
Crystal has served Trinity as a parent volunteer in various areas including leading PTF and coaching girls basketball, MS volleyball, and track and field.  
 
Crystal and her husband Matt have three daughters, Ella, Josie and Tessa. They are members of Southland Christian Church. In her free time, Crystal enjoys family bike rides, being outdoors, and reading. 

Emily Hawk | Assistant Principal / Intervention Specialist

Emily Hawk is thrilled to be joining the Trinity team. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Samford University, with a focus on Elementary/Special Education Collaborative (Pre-School–6th Grade) and holds a Class B Certification. After graduation, Emily served as a classroom teacher in the Scott County Public Schools. Three years ago, she transitioned into administration, taking on the role of assistant principal. Emily is passionate about professional development and mentoring. She has led numerous trainings and finds great joy in supporting and encouraging fellow educators.

Outside of work, Emily and her husband Greg share a deep love for service and ministry and are actively involved in their church family. In her free time, she enjoys creating, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends (and dog!) 

Charlotte Morgan | Interventionalist

Charlotte Morgan received her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Transylvania University. She received her Masters of Arts in Teacher Leadership with a Literacy Specialist certification from Georgetown College.

Mrs. Morgan and her husband have two boys, Jax and Anders. Together they enjoy spending time outside with their dog Copper, going to the lake, and all things sports.

Lauren Powell | Humanities

Lauren Powell joins the Trinity staff for the 2025-2026 school year to teach 12th Grade Rhetoric/Aesthetics, 11th Grade Rhetoric I, Speech and Debate, Walking to Wisdom, and Yearbook. She has worked as a teacher for the past 10 years, and has worked with Trinity students previously as an Assistant Director for the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She is excited to help with future productions at Trinity.

Ms. Powell received her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education with a minor in Music Performance at the University of Kentucky. She received her Master of Arts in Education from Georgetown College.

Ms. Powell currently resides in Lexington where she attends Church of the Savior. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing, and traveling.

Michael White | Upper Campus Asst. Principal, Band

Michael White joins Trinity Christian Academy after working in an administrative position in the Jessamine County school system for 12 years. Prior to school administration, Mr. White devoted 15 years to instrumental music education in the Fayette County, Elizabethtown, and Jessamine County school systems. Mr. White holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Kentucky, a master’s in Instrumental Conducting from Eastern Kentucky University, a National Board Certification in Early Adolescent and Young Adult Music Education, and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.
 
Both Mr. White and his wife Andrea graduated from Fayette County Public Schools. Mr. White‘s wife is a lifelong educator, having served solely in Fayette County Public Schools.

Cody White | Lower Campus Librarian

Cody White will join Trinity in 2025 as the Lower Campus Librarian. Prior to that, he most recently taught Algebra I, Engineering I, and Engineering II at Harrison County High School in Cynthiana, KY. Before his time at Harrison County High School, he taught College Algebra and Math Concepts at Grant County High School in Dry Ridge, KY. 

Mr. White will receive his Master in Library Science in December 2025 from the University of Kentucky. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies with a Secondary Certification from Morehead State University and an Associate in Arts degree with Honors from Maysville Community and Technical College. He is also a 2021 Ron Paul Scholar. 

Mr. White and his wife Shelby have two young boys, Clayton and Theodore. The White family are soon to be members of Great Crossing Baptist Church and they are looking forward to further serving in their church and community. Mr. White enjoys spending time with his wife, playing with and shaping his boys into mature followers of Christ, attending tractor shows with his family and farming. Mr. White has chickens and bees on his farm along with a small garden every year.

Mindy Wright | Lower Campus Physical Education

Mindy Wright will join Trinity as the Lower Campus Physical Education teacher. Mrs. Mindy has taught PE and Health since 1998, serving students from preschool to adults. Mrs. Mindy received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Education from Eastern Kentucky University, where she was also a scholarship volleyball player.

Mrs. Mindy and her husband Russ have two college kids, Johnathan and Julia. The Wrights are members of Southland Christian Church, where Mrs. Mindy serves on the Guest Experience Team. In her free time, Mrs. Mindy enjoys spending time with her husband, watching their kids play intercollegiate sports, and playing with their miniature golden retrievers, Lola and Zion.
