The Lexington Sister Cities program connects local students with international communities to foster global understanding, leadership, and cross-cultural learning. In this unique opportunity, Landry visited Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost main island, where he studied Japanese daily life, history, and community traditions.
From exploring local sights to experiencing real cross-cultural connection, the exchange gave Landry a firsthand look at life across the globe while representing both Lexington and the Trinity community.
While exploring new places is always exciting, the heart of any exchange program is the people. When reflecting on the highlight of his journey, Landry shared:
“I really enjoyed being able to get to know the Japanese students during this trip.”
We are immensely proud of Landry for taking the initiative to step outside his comfort zone, represent our school with excellence, and build meaningful relationships across the globe.
Be sure to ask Landry about his adventures in Shinhidaka when you see him on campus this fall!
