Information for Parents of Seniors
Or, “How to Survive Senior Year Without Going Crazy”
The purpose of this information page is to help you prepare and plan ahead as much as possible for the extra activities and costs that are inherent with senior year (not including college related activities and costs).
Talk and pray with and for your senior and your family. The senior year has many deadlines and can be one of frenzied activity and it helps to ease the high intensity emotions if deadlines are anticipated in advance.
Check your e-mail, Titan Times, and the school website weekly for extra information being sent out from school.
SENIOR PICTURES FOR THE YEARBOOK
Phillips Mitchell will once again be taking the Formal Sr Yearbook Photos. Pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 11 in the morning here at school.
Drapes for the girls and a tux for the guys will be furnished for the Seniors.
The cost is $15.00, payable to Phillips Mitchell. Checks can be brought in no later than September 11. After September 11 you will need to contact Phillips Mitchell directly, 859-253-9606.
It is suggested the girls wear some sort of necklace and a shirt that is easy to change in and out of, a cami (no dresses please). The guys need to make sure they wear a white t-shirt and they are clean shaven.
This chaperoned overnight retreat (Life Adventure Center Waiver) is October 10-11. It has a spiritual focus, and offers an opportunity for students and leaders to plan and prepare together. Decisions and goals are made about their leadership role and goals as a class. Cost is $115.00. Questions, contact Luke McAnally. Money is due by October 5.
Each senior should turn in 4-5 additional pictures to be used in the yearbook. These photos should include at least one baby photo, child photo, and junior high or high school photo. If the parents can email the pictures (preferred), they should send them to email@example.com. Hard copies of pictures should be sent in an enveloped labeled with the student’s name and the number of enclosed pictures. Although we are very careful with the photos, it is recommended that parents make copies of any photos before sending them in. The pictures will be returned to the parent through the senior.
The parents should compose a short letter to their child to be used in the yearbook. These letters should be roughly 5-8 sentences long. The space for the letter is limited, and parents may be asked to shorten their letter if it does not fit into the allotted space. Many parents have chosen to include a verse or reference in their letter. See previous yearbooks for examples.
All of these items should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 7, 2019.

These can be as simple or elaborate as you wish, with as many pictures as you choose. The boards will be sent home after Spring Break. The deadline to turn them is May 1, 2019. Board will be on display at US Academic Awards Night, Senior Chapel, Senior Farewell, and Graduation.
A reminder that each Senior is to turn in $300.00 for Senior Trip. Checks are to be made out to Trinity Christian Academy and turned into the US office. Due by April 26, 2019. If payment arrangements need to be made, please contact Luke McAnally.
The 2019 class has been diligently raising money for their trip in May. More fundraising activities will occur during the school year. Senior Trip dates are May 16-22, 2019.
