Lower School Volunteer Needs

Our Parent-Teacher Fellowship has been working on getting organized for the fall and we need YOUR help! Please pray about where you can serve your school and contact us with any questions.

Our biggest and most immediate needs are listed below but we have many other opportunities to serve if these don’t fit your schedule.

ARRIVAL DUTY: Assist the kids getting out of the cars in the morning and getting into the building. Serve one day a week from 7:50-8:20 a.m. to help make arrival a safe and happy place!

DISMISSAL DUTY:  This entails using your cell phone to correspond with a person inside the school to give them names of the families in car line. Serve one day a week from 2:50-3:15 p.m. to help make dismissal run smoothly!

LUNCH DUTY: Serve ONCE every FOUR weeks. Assist all grades from 11:30-1:00 with general lunchroom needs, opening containers, and wiping tables.

Please let us know what day and position you are interested in!

For LUNCH helpers, email Erin Calihan or call or text 859-619-4851.

For ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL helpers, email Sarah Kitchens or call or text 859-230-8514.

Gala: Your Passport to Fun(d)

The Around the World Gala is THE BIGGEST annual fundraising event for Trinity Christian Academy, but we can’t make it work without your help.  Mark your calendars for 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, at the Carrick House and join us for a night that will take you Around the World! Here are ways to get involved:

  • Sponsorship.  To find out more on how to become a sponsor for the Gala, click here.
  • Silent auction donations.  We are currently gathering items for the Silent Auction. The Silent Auction has a large variety of items that will attract your interest.  Did you like to garden? Consider donating a gardening basket.  Do you own a store?  Arts and Crafts?  Do you have a timeshare you are willing to donate? All items will need to have a contract filled out and dropped off to Diana Clark at the Lower School.
  • Raffle tickets.  Each family should have received 6 raffle tickets in their mailbox. If each family sells the raffle tickets provided, Trinity will receive $80,000! Thanks for helping make this a huge success!

Spring Formal Date and U.S. Schedule

Attention all Upper School Students and Parents:

Our High School (9th-12th grades) Spring Formal venue and date have been changed due to a scheduling conflict on the part of the original venue. Trinity organizers were not at fault for this conflict, and the problem was just communicated to Trinity in early March. Kudos to the Student Council for quickly making other plans!

We are excited to announce that our new Spring Formal venue is the Lexington Country Club on Tuesday, April 11!  More details to come on menu options. We still plan to have a photographer, dinner, music, and dancing, and we expect to have a grand evening!

We recognize that a midweek dinner and dance is unusual timing for a student event and a weekend evening would be preferred. We exhausted many different options and the decision was made that this venue on this date would give our students the best experience.

Since the formal is now on Tuesday, April 11, all middle school and high school students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm that day.  On Wednesday, April 12, school will begin with Chapel at 9:45 am.

Please note that Friday, April 21, the original date for the formal, will be a regular school day instead of a half day.

For details on Trinity’s formal dress code, please click here.
