Fight e Coli Club
Fight e Coli Club

Gracie Pittman, 3rd Grader at Trinity Christian Academy, recently spent 24 days at UK's Children's Hospital with a bad case of e Coli infection.  For 24 days her classmates and teachers (as well as the entire Trinity community) prayed for her recovery.  As a result, the Fight e Coli Club was birthed.  Click here for the full story as told by teacher Conni Hysong.

What is the Fight e Coli Club?  The Fight e Coli club consists of a group of 3rd graders who banded together in an effort to help their classmate, Gracie Pittman, by raising money.  After much discussion with their teacher and each other, it was decided that all monies raised were to be given to the Pittman family to help pay off the medical bills from the hospital.  This in turn would help the hospital, which in turn, helps others fight this horrific and sometimes fatal infection.

How can I give?  You can give a tax deductible donation to "Trinity Christian Academy," through check, cash or credit card.   Checks and cash can be brought to or mailed to the office:  Trinity Christian Academy, 3900 Rapid Run Drive, Lexington, KY  40515, attention: Fight e Coli Club.  If writing a check, please  put "Pittman" in the memo line.  Simply call the school at 859-271-0079 to give by credit card.  ALL monies will be given to the Pittman family.

Who can join the club? Anybody can join the club - there are no geographical or age boundaries.  Simply write to Mrs. Hysong's 3rd Grade class at the address, letting them know you would like to be a part of this club, and they will send back a club card to you, asking for continued prayer in the fight against e Coli infections.

How is Gracie doing now?  Gracie is doing terrifically.  She's full of life, and back in the classroom.  Her dog keeps her busy at home.  Meanwhile, the club has not stopped trying to make money.  On almost any day, you can find 3rd graders selling their goods as they continue to raise funds to help the Pittman family pay off bills, which in turn helps the hospital to fight e Coli!
