Classical & Christian
What is a 'Classical Christian' education?

Classical

The structure of our curriculum is referred to as Classical.  It is Classical in the sense that it reaches back to a time-tested model of education that mirrors students’ intellectual growth.  By systematically exploiting defined stages of development, students are equipped with the tools of learning and trained how to use these tools.  In essence, we are teaching the art of learning that can be applied to any subject or field of study, now and for a lifetime.

The Classical approach also incorporates many of the great works of Western Civilization.  These are essential to appreciating the ideals that underlie the foundation of American culture.  Understanding these origins better prepares our students to represent the values of a Christian worldview in the face of a world adrift in its search for meaning and significance.

Christian

The academics and curriculum at Trinity are first and foremost Christian.  We recognize God the Father as the author of creation and all that is in it, as revealed in His Word.  Consequently, our curriculum, from math to science to fine arts, is taught with that perspective.  This Christian worldview serves as the lens through which we teach, and binds together ideas and concepts as part of a larger whole defined by Biblical truth.
